Ted J. Hanson is offering written and video resources for Leadership. These teachings are based upon Ted’s book, Generational Leadership – An Inheritance of Secrets Revealed. You can watch the video or listen to them as audio as well as to download a pdf copy of the book and workbook. The video sessions are approximately 15 minutes long. As we entered a new year I felt moved by Holy Spirit to stir and encourage the local church members to rise to the challenge to ’Make Jesus known’.

It’s so easy to enjoy the comfort of our local church and forget the tremendous challenge to touch the hearts and lives of people who have no knowledge or understanding that they need a Saviour.

Andrew Shearman really put out the issue clearly in a recent video broadcast that ’Jesus cost you nothing, He loves you just as you are’, however for you to follow Christ will cost you everything’.

Matthew 8: 34-37 The Passion Bible; What It Means to Be a Follower of Jesus;

Jesus summoned the crowd, along with his disciples, and had them gather around. And he said to them: “If you truly want to follow me, you should at once completely disown your own life. And you must be willing to share my cross and experience it as your own, as you continually surrender to my ways. For if you let your life go for my sake and for the sake of the gospel, you will continually experience true life. But if you choose to keep your life for yourself, you will forfeit what you try to keep. For what use is it to gain all the wealth and power of this world, with everything it could offer you, at the cost of your own life? And what could be more valuable to you than your own soul?

The Lord Jesus Christ knows what is best for your life than you and I do. Sadly so many people today are not unwilling to be committed to the call of God.

Often the Lord Jesus said ’Follow Me’ however in Matthew 11: 28-30 (The Passion Bible) The Lord Jesus invites us to ’Come to Him’

”Are you weary, carrying a heavy burden? Then come to me. I will refresh your life, for I am your oasis. Simply join your life with mine. Learn my ways and you’ll discover that I’m gentle, humble, easy to please. You will find refreshment and rest in me. For all that I require of you will be pleasant and easy to bear.”

I personally know so many who are carrying heavy burdens who do not know that God loves them and that His desire is to become their friend and Saviour.  What a privilege it is to cast all your cares upon Him for he cares for you.

The Passion Bible 1 Peter 5: 6 Pour out all your worries and stress upon him and leave them there, for he always tenderly cares for you.

It’s time for each one of us to allow our hearts to be examined and follow the Blessed Master who promised to make you and I fishers of men!

God’s Will is a Body:

God’s goal has always been a body – a place that is inhabited with His presence in the earth for the Father’s glory. The body of Christ is the place of calling, inheritance, and destiny.  The body of Christ is a place of life, an increasing expression of life, and a place of living for life-filled purpose of God. We cannot be priests who offer sacrifices on behalf of the people. We have to empower people to present their bodies as living sacrifices. We have to empower people to see themselves as members of a body for the purpose of God’s will and kingdom influence in their world.

The key to being the body of Christ is to become an external expression of what is written upon the hearts and minds of people. How do we get people to prioritize that? How do we create structures that support an environment of people embracing what God is writing on their hearts and minds? How do we create structures that support an environment where people embrace this same principle and value in the corporate body?

What does your corporate body look like? A body is made of members who come together to make a living expression of Christ. Drawing near to God includes drawing near to one another. How do we create structures that serve an environment that welcomes and inspires people to draw near to God and draw near to one another for the purpose of what He is writing on hearts and minds, individually and corporately?

It has to be an environment that considers one another to stir up love and good works. How do we create environments that encourage people to come together and not forsake coming together as is the manner of some, even increasingly some to be many? What will inspire others to come together to be a body that does the will of God? And is the will of God?

It is the will of God for us to come together. It is the will of God for us to see ourselves as part of this body, this family, this community. What we do cannot be for the work of ministry. It has to be for the purpose of being the body of Christ. This is a dwelling place of His presence for His calling, His inheritance, and His purpose. It is a dwelling place of His identity, His testimony, and His power working through us.

Our structures and means of doing things must facilitate the heart. It must facilitate desire, and not obligations for the service of ministry. It must be a testimony of inspiration and facilitation and not one of control or conformity.

We have to be willing to change some of the structures of the past to facilitate the ancient truth in a culture that is relevant to today. We have to be willing to change some of the structures of the past to facilitate the ancient truth in a culture that is relevant to today. Our leadership must be focused on transformation rather than simply information… so we need to embrace a government that enables and empowers people to change from the inside out. We lead as examples of those who are internally transformed and we live to empower those we lead to be the same.

Hello to Everyone;

I hope you are all well as you have entered into 2019. As I am stepping into this new year, I am impressed that it is a new season that requires new strategies, new tools for connecting, and new resources to assist us in our journey of destiny in Christ. All of the RIM guys are moving forward in various things that God has entrusted to them. There is a great diversity of ministries and church communities that are connected to Andrew, Bob, David, John, or me in some way. If you are connected to one or more of us, you are by relationship connected to RIM. RIM is not meant to be an organization, but a connection of relationships that have come about because of relationships that God established with the five of us long ago. Each of the five of us have ministry streams that flow out from our lives in some way. This year we want to make more resources available to everyone through our network of relational connections. You have found that all five of us are very different in our style and our approach to things, but we all live for a global plan of a glorious and victories church that reveals the testimony of Christ in the earth.  Andrew is pursuing some great strategy and building of resources for establishing the G42 communities (https://www.generation42.org). Bob is continuing to offer pastoral training and counseling training at various levels (http://drbobnichols.com). New tools and resources are being developed. David is continuing to raise up another generation in reaching many places with kingdom life influence through his involvement with churches in the Netherlands as well as training and mission connections he has at United Life Academy in Ashville, North Carolina (www.facebook.com/unitedlifeacademy). John is continuing to reach the people of Prestatyn, Wales with the testimony of love, life, and family (https://www.facebook.com/ChristtheRockchurchprestatyn). I am continuing to bring training to a growing segment of the Portuguese speaking world as well as many churches and ministries through House of Bread Ministry and training through Christ Life Training (www.houseofbreadministry.org). House of Bread Network is not an organization, but a relational connection with House of Bread Ministry as God has brought together diverse connections in ministry. We must always value the things that God has done in the past, but we must be willing to press forward into the increasing glory of God in the earth. We hold on to the ancient things of truth, but we understand that God increasing our understanding of those things as His grace empowers us to see what we could not see before. This is the increasing glory of God’s plan for men in heaven and earth. We believe God’s plan of glory is for all of humanity made of every tribe, tongue, people, and nation. God is joining the nations in an INTERNATIONAL testimony of His grace. It is expressed in the diversity of MINISTRIES as we partner with Holy Spirit to embrace a personal relationship with God in each heart to be obedient to faith and not some method, form, or common denominator or ministry. God meets each one in their heart and thus no two can be exactly the same. Our NOBLE CAUSE is to disciple nations through relationally connected local expressions of Christ’s church in the present sound and testimony of God’s grace working in the earth.
